Full Support for MacBook Pro with Retina Display
Enjoy super crisp 2D and 3D graphics when working in the program as the interface and 2D/3D rendering modes have been enhanced for the MacBook Pro with Retina Display.
2D Floor Plans
The 2D drawing tools let you draft out and add annotations to walls, floors, ceilings, and more. Adding measurements to your 2D floor plan gives you quick reference to the tech specs of your home.
Your walls will always be accurate since you see the exact measurement of a wall as you draw it in the 2D view. The smart guides and object snapping options make it very simple to draw up a precise floor plan of your home or office.
The new alternative 2D view displays furniture as if you were looking at the 3D objects from above as opposed to a plain CAD-like layout. So you can view your floor plan anyway you like.
If necessary, you can set one of the predefined scales to your 2D plan or make a custom one.

3D Object Library
Furnish your home or office with the furniture, appliances, and fixtures you have always dreamt of! The library with 1,200+ objects gives you a wide selection of furniture and building elements (windows, doors, etc.) that are split up into categories.

Find the couch you want by browsing our brand name models or accessing the endless number of 3D objects in Google 3D Warehouse right from inside Live Interior 3D. If you have your own 3D objects, import them in Google SketchUp™, Ogre XML, COLLADA™, or 3DS format and add them to the library.
And working with objects in Live Interior 3D is a piece of cake. You can quickly make that queen size bed in your guest room a king size bed with just a few clicks!

Roofs, Lofts, and Dormers
Putting a roof over your head in Live Interior 3D is as simple as selecting one of 12 roof templates from the Roof Assistant and tweaking it using custom segments, changing the soffit type, adjusting angles, and applying one of 200+ roofing textures.
Take advantage of the space under your roof by creating a livable loft by using the loft wall support and 16 customizable dormers.

Materials Collection
The library of 1,500+ materials gives you complete control over the look of each piece of furniture and surface in your project. You can easily glue up new wallpapers, change the floor finish, tack up new shingles, and give any object a wooden, metallic, or glassy look.

Realistic 3D Environment
Taking a virtual tour of your dream house gives you the right point of view to help you realize what your interior needs to reach perfection. Your project is completely editable in the 3D mode, so you can make changes in real time.
Live Interior 3D automatically generates interior shadows to give you a realistic perspective of your future home. You can adjust the way lamps, light fixtures, and other light sources emit light.
The program offers three rendering modes to give you flexibility and optimize program performance.

Results
Live Interior 3D offers you the opportunity to shoot movies of your interior and export them as QuickTime™ videos to send to all your friends.
Support of QuickTime VR technology lets you create complete panorama views of your interior from a fixed point in the 3D mode.
Also, export your favorite views of your interior into high-resolution images in JPEG, TIFF, and PNG formats while taking a virtual walkthrough of your project. Print your 2D floor plans or export them to PDF.
Live Interior 3D exports to COLLADA format to be used in iBooks Author, Maya, 3dsMax, Strata, Shade, Cinema4D, and many other apps. In addition, native support for COLLADA in Apple Preview offers a very convenient viewing experience by letting you jump from camera to camera at a click of the mouse, as well as zoom and pan around your project.
For those needing photorealistic images, the new Render Boost plugin is exactly what they are looking for. A great addition for both professionals and home improvement buffs. Check out sample screenshots and learn more about the Render Boost plugin.
The print layout dialog in Live Interior 3D allows you to print your 2D floor plan or 3D views in batches and at multiple scales. Combine both the 2D floor plan and 3D views for quick reference when reviewing your project with designers. If an enlarged floor plan happens to be too large for one sheet, the app will automatically spread it out over multiple sheets that can be glued together.
