Document Layout

The Document Layout dialog displays the list of label papers, envelopes or postcards depending on the current project. The document layout (selected paper) is important for printing.
The canvas in the main window displays only one label or postcard even if the paper includes several. This is a difference between Labels & Addresses and text processors (the latter display the whole page).

To open the dialog, choose File > Change Layout, or click the Change Layout button in the Document tab of the Inspector.


To select a paper layout:

  1. In the Document Layout dialog, choose the Predefined section containing standard papers (it is selected by default). Other sections contain custom papers and previously used papers (buttons 1 in the picture).
  2. Click on a paper in the list (4) to select it. The manufacturer part numbers of compatible papers are displayed in the box (5).
    To find a paper by its part number use the search box (6).
    To narrow down the displayed list by a specific manufacturer or paper size, choose it in the corresponding drop-down menu (2 or 3).
  3. Set up the orientation (7).
  4. Click OK when the necessary paper is selected.

To customize a standard paper, select it and click the Create Custom button (9). Further details can be found in the Custom Layout section.
