Will not import a new lis created in MAC Numbers

Trying to import a NEW/UPDATED address list made in Numbers 3.0.1 (1483). I launch L&A, select "Numbers in the Recipients pull down window, navigate to the new Numbers list to create an update print list. I select the list from the columns, wait for the twirling icon to stop and see the thumbnail on the far right column. I click open and then get a dialog box that states: "Unable to import from a Numbers file. "An error occurred while importing data from the Numbers file. Open the file with Numbers and correct any warnings, then save the file and try importing again. I see no warnings and Numbers appears to be operating correctly. Any thoughts? Using a Mac Mini Running 10.9 Maverick (and please don;t tell me L&S is not compatible with 10.9)

The direct data import from Numbers doesn't work on Mavericks 10.9. The reason is explained here:

I actually found thus explanation after I had originally posted. Followed the steps and all is good. Thanks!
