Hiding Confusion

Postby patamystic » April 7th, 2018, 9:42 pm

I cannot make sense of how hiding elements works in the Project Tree. I have three layers: Site, Ground Floor and 1st Floor.

If I click the eye icon to hide the Site layer it hides all three layers. I cannot then subsequently show the Ground floor or 1st - they remain hidden until I show the Site layer.

If I click to hide Ground floor it hides Ground and 1st Floor. It seems like I can't hide Ground without also hiding Site and I can't hide 1st without also hiding Ground. I want to hide Site and Ground and work on 1st floor but it won't let me...

Very confusing.

You have to have the site showing to see anything. But I also found it strange that you cannot hide a floor below what you want to see. (That is, if you hide ground floor, all floors above are also hidden.)

But what you can do is hide all the elements of your ground floor. Then only the 1st floor will remain visible. Of course, if you have hundreds of items in your ground floor, you will need to group them together as to avoid toggling each little item separately. See attached for example.

If you just hide the elements, like the screen shot you should achieve what you want.
