Foundation wall holes

Postby t.werkema » September 29th, 2017, 9:30 am

Hi, I've got a room that's 36" below the rest of the house. We have an open floor plan. There's a wall going right to left above the stairs and white long box. It has an opening applied to it so it's not there. When I try to apply an opening to the foundation (white long box) it doesn't work. I've put in an opening on the first floor and dropped it to -36". I also tried putting an opening in the 1st Basement floor and raising it up but that didn't work either. I do have dynamic subtraction on. Am I missing something? Is this not possible?

I would create another floor with 36" height, then add an opening to it to hide automatic ceiling.

Interesting idea. That would solve some other issues as well. I'll try it.
