Postby Nick » January 14th, 2016, 9:39 am

We are happy to start the year with the launch of Get Backup Pro version 3. The app that helps to keep your Mac data safe. The new version introduces stylish interface, advances in data backup field and expands workflow options.

What’s New in Version 3:

- Backup method without archiving your data added. This becomes the default backup method. Created backups are incremental and use the hard links to the original backup, which means that the backup folder looks as a full backup, but takes very little additional storage space over the original.
- More flexibility of working with the project list: manual reordering, renaming projects.
- New stylish easy-to-use interface.
- Scheduler now allows to select specific days of week (for example scheduling backup for Tuesday and Friday nights).
- Program Launch Agent has been replaced by the system Launch Agent (it was only in Get Backup App Store version).
- Many other improvements.

Looks great - but no documentation on how to upgrade, or if its a new install, how to migrate a 'project' from get backup 2 to 3

Hi,

To upgrade, you need to install the new version from scratch.

Being started for the first time, Get Backup 3 searches for your projects created in version 2. So, you should see your current project in version 3 automatically.
