I just noticed that Art Text produces anomalies (gaps, etc.) in the stroke of simple filled text at smaller font sizes.

Try this:

Create the text "Art Text" in Arial, size 48, with blue fill and red stroke and stroke size of 6. View it with the magnification on high (slider to the right) and then change the font size to 12.

You will notice that the red stroke gets "dimples" or gaps in the straight baseline segments of the letters. As you increase the font size the anomalies disappear.

I've seen this with several different fonts, although the location of the anomalies differ. Perhaps the size of the stroke must be limited at small font sizes?
