Importing from MS Excel File

Hi

I have just acquired the ‘Labels & Addresses’ app and I am trying to import contacts from a Microsoft Excel file called ‘AddrBook.xlsm’ which is in folder ‘Labs_Address App’.
I have been following Chapter 9 of the user manual but I have a problem. The following is the sequence so far:
1. Open Labels & Addresses” app.
2. Windows—> Contacts—>Recipients.
3. Select MS Excel.
4. Click on the Update button - a Finder Window appears.
5. I select the folder ‘Labs_Addresses App’ and the file ‘AddrBook.xlsm' is shown but the open button at the bottom right is greyed out. I cannot continue.

Could you please tell me where I am going wrong. I am using OSX 10.9.5

Hi Ken,

Labels & Addresses cannot import from an Excel document directly. Our program opens Excel and to read data from your file. The first time you import this way, Labels & Addresses can ask you to specify the path to Excel before asking which file to open.
