Hi
I found out, that swift publisher keeps a copy of all images from a document under:
~\Library\Application Support\com.belightsoft.SwiftPublisher3.appStore\randomname\

My questions:
Why is this so?
Can I remove the files?
Can I precent swift publisher from doing this?

Thanks
Sacha Zemp

Hi Sacha,

On my computer there is a folder named
~/Library/Containers/com.belightsoft.SwiftPublisher3.appStore/Data/Library/Caches/com.belightsoft.SwiftPublisher3.appStore/
- a bit different from your path. Its content looks like this:
Cache.db
Cache.db-shm
Cache.db-wal
document.aVE5QI
document.b9XPAl
document.BdMc2b
document.bLYUrD
...

These "document.*" folders contain images from documents you edited. It is safe to delete cashed files if you save all unsaved documents, close them, and then quit the program.

Swift Publisher uses the cache to save temporary files. As a rule, programs clear the cache when it is not needed any more. This may not happen because of an error in the program code, or if the program was closed unexpectedly and consequently couldn't remove temporary files.
