Tried updating clipart this morning..didn't seem to work. Now, when I try to apply mask to existing flyer and brochures, program crashes. I tried to reboot, tried different files, etc. they all crash when I try to apply masks. Any suggestions?

TBlazer:

A typical cause for such problem is too large images on the page that won't open. Did you add any photos to the page you cannot open?

If this is the case, you need to reduce the image size before adding images to your document. Such crash happens because of lack of memory. Try to reboot your computer. Then don't open any program except for Swift Publisher. This will give it maximum of available memory. Open your document and try to access the page you couldn't open. If you manage to do this, delete large images, and add their smaller copies. I recommend you to create a backup copy of your document(s) you'll try to fix.

ausborn:

Please tell at what conditions the program crashes on your computer. Send your crash log to support@belightsoft.com together with the link to this topic. The crash reporter opens right after a crash (you should repeat it). Show the report, copy it all, and paste in your email.

Troody:

Please send us your crash log (see the paragraph above).

Does the program opens correctly? Can you open the built-in templates?

Nick,

Thanks for responding. I tried what you suggested and it continues to crash. I've deleted ALL photos from my 2-page flyer project and it still crashes. I've tried to create a new project from scratch and it still crashes. I really don't know what else to do. Please advise.

Hi all
SP 3.3.4 () crashes for me too, under 10.7.5 (Core2Duo) updating the no AppleStore version.
Looking at the log, I find "strange" that there're some references to the AppStore:

The whole log has been sent by mail.
Hope this helps.

Nick,

I've email my crash log to the your support email address so you can look at it in more detail. Is there a way you guys could send the "old version" before the last update so that I can get some work done. I love your product but I'm at a standstill here...need a lifeline.

Thanks again.

Oh, this is bad. I was set to demo Swift Publisher 3 at our Mac User Group this morning. Everything was fine and ready to go until I did the update yesterday. Now it simply doesn't work. I had to just talk about the product and show some of your videos, but I couldn't demo it. Bad meeting.

Here's the thing. It's not large images. I can't even open up one of your predesigned templates and just click on an item on the template without the whole app crashing. I can't open the template I need for tomorrow's church bulletin. It's completely dysfunctional. I hope someone gets on this asap. You lost a lot of sales this morning. :-(

I also would like to know if I can reinstall the version I bought and wipe this one out?

Ok, I have a solution. I went back to my email and found my access and password to download Swift Publisher that I originally bought. It's version 3.3.2. It is stable and working find and I can now access and use all my templates etc. Give that a try if you can still download your first copy. It might work with their free demo as well. Good luck.

Mine crashes too and now I'm at a standstill with my project. It should not be a memory problem. I have 16 gig of ram. It was working fine yesterday. Please fix thus. I just purchased this product and it seemed great. Right now it's a disaster!! Happens as soon as I load a previous project

Copying the information in the box that opens after the crash is not an option. There's no "copy" command. A screen shot would not show the long, long crash report.

Please tell us how to delete this version and get the previous version back. I have two big jobs due and can't access my work! I open the files and there's the work for a couple of seconds, and then there's a crash. This is happening with more than one file, and these files were fine before the update.

bobrocky, thanks for your suggestion!

I remembered that I had backed up my computer last week using Time Machine so was able to restore the previous version of Swift Publisher(3.3.3). Surprise! All my files are now working again. I think next time I see an upgrade available, I'll wait until I see a cheering section in this forum.
