I have been unable to find a way to put these guides in with BCC. Margins and Center Guides are always my initial setups for any project.

Thanks

Hi pokari,

BCC doesn't have guides. Use the align commands located in the Inspector and in the Format menu.

The problem is I don't always want things centered, just laid out in a pleasing way, which isn't always a cut and dry alignment. Sometimes I have to make a line and place it in the background to help as a layout guide. It would be MUCH more simple if we could just add this feature. :)

Thanks for considering,

We'll add guides in one of future versions.

Hi Nick,
Imho, you should add guides/grid/rulers in all BeLight apps.
I totally agree with pokari, sometimes the right way to align different objects (mostly text boxes) is to use a guide especially when trying to "optically" align several text boxes with different fonts and font styles (serif vs sans-serif and/or Regular/Roman vs Italic for ex.).
Even in small documents as business cards can be, it's (it would be ;^)) a so useful feature.

Grids?

While we are on the subject, I could really use some hexagonal grids.

Is there a way to draw a hexagonal grid somehow?

I've never seen hexagonal grids. But some programs let to set the angle for grid lines.

In Business Card Composer, you can place an image with hexagonal grid behind other objects in the design. Before printing or exporting delete this auxiliary image (or hide it).
