I have no sucess to print directly on DVD/CDs.

After generating the layout of the disc I do following.

1.) In Disc Cover I switch the Paperformat to DIN A4.
2.) At Output I choose: direct to CD/DVD and as printer I choose Epson Stylus R2880
3.) As tray I use Epson Tray Type 2 (CD Tray). The preview of the CD right of the list is not how my CD Tray is looking like. My CD is in the middle and not on the left.
4.) In the Epson Print Dialog I choose as medium CD/DVD. Here I can not choose something as both options are grayed out (CD/DVD; CD/DVD Premium Surface)

Any Ideas?

Hi Broky,

Tray Type 2 seems to be compatible with Epson Stylus R2880. A disc may be located in the center of the tray. But the tray itself may be not in the center of the print area.

What happens when you try to print? Nothing has been printed or the picture is misaligned?

If the second, you should calibrate the printer.

If the printer doesn't print, maybe there is something wrong with the driver. Can the Epson's software print on discs?

Hi Nick,

the Epson Print CD software did work, also I have to say it takes a very long time (about 2 mins) until it finally starts. This behaviour is since I have Snow Leopard. In Disc Cover I can´t print at all, as I can not select the DVD medium (so there is alway the Epsn Premium Glossy Medium selected). I have not tried to send the print job with this medium selected as I fear that the printer is printing all over the Tray.

I try now to install the Epson driver new. But I am not sure if this is really the cause as all other programs work fine without problems with this printer.

Hi Broky,

Please make sure that you have the latest versions of the software:
Disc Cover update page:

On this Apple's page, you can find information about printer drivers:

This instruction may help you to refresh the printer driver:
