Appending vs Replacing

Postby MustBJones » May 18th, 2016, 3:53 pm

If I import single images from a folder first, then import single images from another folder, the first images are Replaced by the second set. If I import whole folders, they are Appended. Both in the Preferences and in the Inspector the option to replace is unchecked.

Why does this happen?

Hi

The "Update replaceable text and images at import" check box in the Preferences doesn't affect the left panel. It allows to automatically update text and images in the document.

When you re-import, the contents of the left panel should be replaced. It may look that that program appended images if the first time you import with the "Include subfolders" check switched off. And then you import again when the check is on. In this case, it will look as if images from subfolders were appended.

If you mean to append new images to those which were displayed in the left panel previously, then the program cannot do this.
