Hi,

I am trying to import track info from an Audio CD project I've done with Toast Titanium 11. Although the project file can be selected in the file chooser, import does not work (Toast 11 does not launch like it was the case with earlier Toast versions, and even if I start it manually before trying the import, the project does not load in Toast).

Is there a compatibility issue with Toast 11 and DC3?

Kind regards
Christian

Hi Christian,

"DC 2.3.1" if this is the version you are using, please update to 3.0.3 (v635).

Does the Toast 11 open when you double-click on the audio CD project?

Try to import from Toast again and then check the console log for error messages. Open Applications/Utilities/Console.app and search for "toast" and "disc cover". If there are any messages related to these applications send this log to support@belightsoft.com providing the link to this topic.

I'm using DC 3.0.3 (v635). (That's why I needed to change my sig...)

Yes, Toast 11 does open (and load the project) when I double-click the audio CD project.

I just tried to import from Toast again, but Toast 11 does not open when selecting the audio CD project file (.disc) in DC 3.0.3. There are no log messages in the Console when doing this - neither for Toast 11 nor for DiscCover.

I am using Toast 11.0.3b1.

Disc Cover 3.0.3 (635) can import from Toast 11.0.2. We didn't test importing with Toast 11.0.3b1. Probably you have a beta. Until Roxio releases a new version, I don't know how to resolve the problem with import.

Christian,

Please specify the build number to understand more clear what version you have. The build number can be fount out in the Finder. Select Toast and press Cmd-I. There will be something like
Version: 11.0.2 (690)
I'd like to know what you have.

What's the location of Toast on your hard disk? Is it the Applications folder? Maybe Disc Cover cannot open Toast because of its specific location.

[Sorry for replying late - I did not get a reply notification from the forum for your second reply message though I am subscribed to the topic...]

I have Toast 11.0.3b1 (build 693). Toast 11 is located at

/Applications/Toast 11 Titanium/Toast Titanium.app

on my startup disc. Double-clicking a Toast 11 project (*.disc file) does open Toast 11 and load the file.

You can download the Toast 11 beta from the Roxio site from this URL:

http://img.roxio.com/updaters/toast/v11/Toast_Titanium.app_11.0.3b1(693).tgz

The discussion in their forum is here:

http://forums.support.roxio.com/topic/74018-toast-1103-titanium-beta/

I just have downloaded DC 3.0.4, with no change to the described behaviour, unfortunately.

Finally found by chance what the problem seems to be: Any " (double quote) in the file name of a Toast project will lead to the described behaviour. When there is no double quote in the file name, the import works as expected.

So, importing from A.disc will work, importing from A".disc won't. Is this a Toast or DC (quoting-)issue?

Thanks. This is valuable information. I think that Disc Cover incorrectly treats quotes. We'll see what can be done to fix this problem.
