Rob Maurizi:
Intel vs. the Mighty Mouse is tough, but then I realized that the
Intel switch reprsents shifting trends in chip technology, economies, etc.., but
the Mighty Mouse represents so much more— A shift in thinking in Steve's
head, and that's where the innovation begins.

Todd Wheeler:
embraced a major change to the very device that defined the Macintosh experience from the beginning. Apple never declared itself to be an innovator in the cpu business, but is one in the user interface business. So much so that they downplayed the significance of offering a two button mouse,... but it marked a change in Apple's willingness to be more competitive in the Wintel hardware world.
Bill Nieanber:
It's about time! Apple's made OS X a two-button-mouse operating system from the beginning so they have finally now gotten with their own program!
Mario Vasella:
Because Steve said there will never be a mouse with more than one button for Macintosh.
Benjamin Landsteiner:
Apple released a two button mouse! Apple originally stuck to a one-button mouse because it forced developers to make interfaces simple. And it worked! Now, with the two-button mouse, that very well may go away.
While it's easy to say that the biggest thing to rock the Mac world this year was the move to Intel processors, it doesn't make sense. Everyone's Macs will still look and work the same way, and no one will think much of it in a few years.
The two-button mouse though? It's here for good.
Taz Goldstein:
My mother finally stopped talking into her mouse and expecting it to respond.
Ash Mishra:
Apple goes intel, followed by a 3 button mouse would be my top Apple news items.
