Swift Publisher Version Changes

What's new in Swift Publisher v.1.3.1 since 1.2

Version 1.3.1 features the following enhancements:

General:

• 20 new designs added.
• New Mac related images added in Clipart.
• Spotlight support added. Document content is now automatically indexed in the system.
• Choice of recent documents becomes available in Assistant.
• Problem with the program hang up while printing and coping/pasting objects with shadows is solved.

Import:

• Inserting objects from other BeLight Software applications added.
• Importing images from Custom Folder: "Get Images from Subfolders" option now can be switched off, Folders Tree was added.
• iPhoto folders are now supported.
• Pictures are now semitransparent while dragging from Clipart Panel for visibility of layout.

Text Editing:

• Problem with multicolumn text drawing while switching between pages was fixed.
• "Move to Foreground/Background" option is now available for text.
• Problem with inserting text tab-stops using mouse was corrected.
• Temporary text disappearance on Mac OS 10.4 when object causes wrap was solved.
• Other minor text bugs fixed.

Saving:

• Now document workspace is saved (window size, scroller position, zoom size, clipart panel position and other).
• Mask and picture saving was fixed.
• Now user templates are stored at Home directory. Problem with Ownership & Permissions is solved.
• Now file icon displays the document preview.

Swift Publisher 1.2 is Universal Binary version that allows to run natively on both PowerPC and Intel-based Macintosh computers.

What's new in Swift Publisher v.1.1.3 since 1.1.1

Version 1.1.3 features the following enhancements:

• Saving images and masks in documents is corrected and optimized.
• Opening custom designs via Assistant fixed.
• Pan tool was added: holding Space button pressed, scroll document interactively.
• Work with text spacing attribute "Before Paragraph" improved.
• Other minor bugs fixed.
  

What's new in Swift Publisher v.1.1.1 since 1.0.3

Version 1.1.1 features the following enhancements:

• Option to select several objects with the opportunity to resize and rotate them as a single item was added.
• Adjustable export to PDF using Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) capabilities.
• The structure of document storage was changed, now images are kept in their original format. Therefore:
  — work with multipage documents improved;
  — problem with opening large documents solved.
• Interface option to load large content (clipart, designs) from your computer or network was added. Now the program can be used within small networks without wasting disk space on duplicating files.
• Object Picking functionality allows users to select one of the overlapping objects (by holding Command key).

Bug Fixes:

• Image auto-cropping problem and imprecise positioning for Tiger OS (Mac OS X 10.4) solved.
• Shadow parameters for exporting to PDF and printing are corrected.
• Resolution loss during image editing fixed.

Version 1.0.3 features the following enhancements:

• 40 new template designs (only in CD edition).
• Option to show/hide clipart panel.
• Smart Field performance is improved:
  — when a page is relocated numeration problem is solved,
  — on adding a new text field text format of the previous field remains.
• Spontaneous image cut is solved when a mask or tint is applied.
• An option to select Design Page Size (US/metric) from Preferences dialog.

What's new in Swift Publisher v.1.0.1 since 1.0

Version 1.0.1 features the following enhancements:

• Support for Image Tricks plugin added. Image Tricks is a free image editing application for using about 35 Core Image effects, integrated into Tiger system (for OS X 10.4 and later). 
• Bug with text flow during export to multipage PDF files fixed.
• Problem with quitting in some cases after printing fixed.
• PageUp, PageDown are now used for switching between pages.
• Also several minor bugs are fixed.
