What to Open When you Start Swift Publisher

This can be the Assistant (built-in collection of document templates), a blank document, or nothing.
Use the Open on start-up option in the Preferences dialog (Cmd-,), the General tab.

Default Page Format for Templates

If you are using document templates from the Assistant, you can choose Letter or A4 page format.
Use the Default Format for Designs in Assistant option in the Preferences dialog, the General tab.

Measurement Units

To change the measurement units, use the Preferences dialog, the General tab.

State of the Clipart Panel

You can open and close the Clipart panel by clicking View > Toggle Clipart Panel (Opt-Cmd-C). Hide the panel to obtain more space on the screen.

State of the Pages Preview Panel

You can open and close the Pages Preview panel by clicking View > Hide/Show Pages Preview (Opt-Cmd-P). Hide the panel to obtain more space on the screen.

Page Settings

The page size, page orientation amnd page margins can be set up in the Document Setup dialog.

Document Scale

You have several ways to change document scale:

• By using the corresponding commands from the View menu.
• By using the magnification control at the bottom of the main window. It displays the current document scale and lets you change it.
• By using the magnification buttons (Zoom In and Zoom Out) in the toolbar.

To get the 100% scale, select View > Actual Size in the menu, or choose 100% in the magnification control.

Also, you can set document magnificaion relatively to the current canvas size. Use the following menu commands:

• View > Fit Width - sets the scale value enough to fit the full width of the page in the edit window.
• View > Fit Height - sets the scale value enough to fit the full height of the page in the edit window.
• View > Fit Page - sets the scale value enough to fit the entire page in the edit window.
