More About Built-in Databases
Mail Factory now has three embedded databases: Sender, My Recipients
and Print List database.
They can be used for keeping and editing personal information as well as external
databases. A few words about the new abilities this brings to you.
My Recipients Database
If you use several data sources in different formats, for example, Address Book
and Eudora, the best solution is to merge the required addresses into the embedded
database. After adding addresses to My Recipients database, you can adjust them for
your needs right in the program. The information will be stored in the embedded
database for further usage.
Print List Database
Sometimes you have to send several letters to different addresses at a time.
Inviting people to your birthday, you deal with more or less constant groups of
people. Separate Print List database can be created for each group. While next
printing of envelopes or labels, you will just create a template (or open a saved
one), select an appropriate Print List and launch Merge Printing.
Sender Database
There are a lot of reasons to use several return addresses. You may use home,
work or any other addresses. For example, some companies use different addresses
for different departments or use a single return address printed in different
languages.
Home users of Mail Factory: all your family members have the same
address but they want to use their own names. Now they don't need to replace your name
in the address panel because the Sender Database can keep data of several persons.
Every person's record in the embedded database keeps three addresses at once: Home,
Work and Other. You can quickly switch between them.
About ID Codes of Avery Label Paper
Recently Avery expanded ID Codes for new types of label paper.
It includes 5 digits now.
The thing is that paper with 5 digit-code with leading "0" is the same
type of paper that includes 4-digit code.
For example, "08161" paper is "White Mailing Labels for Ink Jet
Printers" is exactly as "8161".
So, if you don't see your paper type in Mail Factory list, don't cry! Just try
to find compatible one:)
