Mail Factory News - August 6th, 2004
Hello friends,
A couple of good news for you!
Mail Factory is growing up so fast!
Come and see its first and free technical update.
It's available due to your feedback and suggestion. We would like to thank you for your support!
Mail Factory update 1.1 contains the following functionality:
- Search is added in the Contacts panel and other address lists.
- Entourage improvements: Support of Primary address source has been added.
- Center Alignment for Address Block added.
- Modifications in address management when using merge printing: now address components
can be of 3 states: always displayed (On), always hidden (Off), displayed/hidden depending
on the presence of information in the address database (Auto). The Auto state is set by default.
Bug fixes:
- Printing on Dymo printers fixed and improved.
- The gaps between Address components is reduced (except the "City State Zip" string,
which conforms to USPS requirements).
- Bug with small-sized labels in the Custom Layout dialog is fixed.
A lot of minor bugs are fixed. If you are hungry for more information, see Version 1.1 changes:

INSTALLATION NOTICE:
On the Select Destinations Stage manually choose destination disk and folder, where the
previous version of Mail Factory is stored (Application Folder usually).
Tips&Tricks
Please also read additional information on a couple of improvements from 1.1 update.
Hope you'll find this information useful.
vCard
Support for vCard files was added for using information from other Contact Managers,
which are not supported directly by the application. To change person, please drag&drop
the VCF file icon from Finder to Mail Factory document. In the next update, we'll support
vCard file, containing multiple persons.
Printing envelopes
Envelope rotation is added into Print Dialog. Now envelopes can be printed horizontally
(for the printers with horizontal paper feed) and rotated to 180 degrees (this is convenient
for printers with wide unprintable margins).
"On, Off and Auto" Options for address components
When batch addresses are printed, these options allow editing address fields you want to be
displayed. For example, if you want to avoid using country in the addresses, choose "Off"
option. For including the country by default (if it is entered in the database) - choose "Auto"
option. The "On" option is used for adding country manually.
Now you can edit any person from Batch-print Addresses list
For this, please choose the person from the right list, select Manual Tab, modify the needed data and click
Update button. If you are performing this operation often, we advise you modifying data in the source
(for example, Apple Address Book).
Have a nice day!
