The Layouts Dialog

Call the Layouts dialog by clicking "Format/Change Layout..." to choose label or postcard paper or envelope you're going to use, or to set a custom size for labels, envelopes or postcards. Mail Factory comes with a large number of popular label templates from major vendors, with a number of postcards and supports most existing envelope sizes. If you're using paper or envelopes, which are not listed, you can create a custom layout by switching to the Custom tab and choosing "Create new..." button.

The Recently Used tab contains the list of layouts or envelopes with which you last worked. Use it for fast access to your most popular layouts.

To find the needed layout faster, enter its name in the Search field, or use the filters at the top of the dialog. To narrow down the list you can specify the Manufacturer, Paper size or Label Category. The selected template is previewed in the preview area to the right. If you click the Create Custom button, you'll be able to edit the layout and save it under a new name as a custom layout. For more information, see "Editing Custom Layouts".

You may see the Use Window check box near some envelopes. It shows the position of the window on window envelopes, which makes it easy to design custom window envelopes. To change the position of the window, click the Create Custom button, and set the window dimensions and position in the dialog that comes up.

You can select Landscape or Portrait design orientation for your document layout. The preview is allways shown for the default orientation.
