Creation Labels

One of the primary purposes of Mail Factory is designing mailing labels and printing addresses on them. You can use labels offered by various manufacturers and print on them using any inkjet or laser printer. Also you can use DYMO LabelWriter, Seiko and Brother label printers for printing on label rolls. Apart from mailing labels, you can design and print on other types of labels, supported in Mail Factory - such as video and audio tape labels, file folder, diskette and other labels.

Mail Factory also comes with a collection of pre-drawn images called "handling labels". They can be used on envelopes or packages to indicate special care (such as "Fragile", "Do Not Bend"), or special service ("Insured", "Airmail", etc). You can use these images when designing your envelopes or labels, or print them on label paper and apply to packages.

Label Categories

Labels can be of different sizes and serve for different purposes. Labels, supported in Mail Factory can be divided into mailing labels (these include address labels, return address labels and shipping labels) and non-mailing labels (file folder labels, media labels, etc.). Mail Factory specializes on mailing labels first of all. Though it allows you to print on other label paper as well, it may not include pre-drawn designs for such types of labels.

Ready-made designs, supplied with Mail Factory, take into account the category of the label. For instance, designs, available for small-size labels, known as return address labels, normally include the return address only (and sometimes a logo). Nevertheless, you can edit any design and customize it for your specific needs.

Creating a New Label from Assistant

If you are new to Mail Factory, or want to create your label using one of the ready-made designs, start from the Assistant. Follow the 3 easy steps of label creation. First, select a label paper layout from the list. Then choose one of the ready-made designs and finally choose the address which will be printed on the label.
Find more details in Assistant.

Your label with the selected address and design will appear on the design canvas in the Mail Factory window. If you're satisfied with the way everything looks, you can print your labels (see "Printing Labels, Envelopes and Postcards"). Otherwise, you can edit the label by customizing and adding address panels, text, graphics, changing fonts, etc.
