Working with Stories

Introduction

Live Interior 3D supports the creation of multi-story buildings. Any new project starts out with only one floor. You can add new floors either above or below it.

To control stories, use tools in the Building tab of the Inspector.

All projects must have a ground floor. In a multi-story building, any one of them can be selected as the ground floor.

In the Project Tree, each floor is represented as a compound object that includes other objects (furniture, doors, windows, etc.) within the floor.

In the 3D space, the elevation of an object is calculated in relation to the story where the object is located. If the object elevation is greater than the ceiling height, it can belong to one story but visually appear on the upper one.

Each story includes a slab above it. This slab is invisible in the 3D view until you add a ceiling to the current story or add a floor to the story above.
