The Object Library

Managing Objects Using the Library and Palette

Adding Library Objects to your Project

Adding objects directly:

  1. Display the corresponding category on the Palette.
  2. Drag the object from the Palette to the project.

Using the Favorites:

  1. Open the object library.
  2. Drag and drop an object from the library into the Favorites category on the Palette.
  3. Close the library using the Back button.
  4. Drag and drop the object from Favorites to your project.

In Favorites, objects remain after closing the current project and even after quitting the app. So you can use this to quickly exchange objects between projects.

Copying an object directly:

  1. In the object library, swipe down across the object icon to select it.
  2. Tap on the Copy button.
  3. In the 2D or 3D view, bring up the context menu and select Paste.

Managing Objects in Favorites

To add an object to the Favorites category, drag it from the library and drop onto the Palette. You can choose the place for the new object among the others.

To add an object from your project to Favorites, bring up the contextual menu of that object in the 2D view, and select the Add to Palette command.

To relocate an object within the palette, first drag it off the Palette and then drag it back on and drop onto a new place.

To delete an object from Favorites, open its contextual menu and select the Delete command. To delete all objects, choose Clear All in the contextual menu of any object.

Managing Objects in the Library

The program doesn't allow you to modify or remove standard objects or categories.

There is no direct command to create a new category because the program doesn't support empty categories. A new one can be created when you select the Paste To command in the app bar, or when you choose Add To Category command in the contextual menu of an object in the Palette. You need to scroll to the end of the category list and select New Category….

To delete a custom category, tap on the gear icon, and select Delete Category in the contextual menu. The program removes a custom category automatically when you delete all objects from it.

To rename a custom category, select Rename Category in its contextual menu.

To select an object, swipe up or down across its icon. To deselect it, swipe again.

You can copy and paste objects from one category to another. Additionally, you can cut and delete objects you added to standard or custom categories. Select an object to show the respective commands in the app bar.

Imported objects are automatically placed in the Imported category.

To add an object from a project to the library, copy it. Then open the library, tap on the Paste To command in the app bar, and select a category.
