Just upgraded to V5 on new Macbook Pro. Can't click and drag to highlight text.

Please tell us where you purchased the application: App Store or our website. Also tell us what version of the application and macOS you are using.

Now it's suddenly telling me my app is unlicensed. I've reregistered with the supplied license code and also online. I still have the previous versions in my app folder. Could they be interfering somehow?

Made a mistake - OS is 10.12.6.
It continues to unregister me.
Went back to SP4 and now it's been infected by the highlighting bug. Are there common preferences somewhere?

Re: Highlighting Text
Apologies! False alarm.
I decided to install SP v5 on my iMac, only to be told it was already installed. I'd forgotten I'd updated some months ago. Can you believe it?
I don't suppose I'm entitled to a refund?
Clearly the registration issue is because of the same version being registered twice.
As far as the highlighting issue is concerned, I tried connecting a mouse to the MacBook Pro. It worked fine. Now, interestingly, the problem has disappeared after disconnecting the mouse and only using the trackpad.
The world is again in order.

Re: Highlighting Text
I imagine I'm starting to appear unhinged with my contradictory comments. But apart from my stupidity with the update, the complaints about the highlighting text are authentic. The problem has returned.
I STILL CAN'T CLICK AND DRAG TO HIGHLIGHT TEXT!!!

Re: Highlighting Text
Looks like I'm on my own with this one!
I may have localised the problem. Ticking and unticking "Force click and haptic feedback" in trackpad preferences seems to turn the problem on and off.
Anyone else find this?
