If I want to log in from a remote location (not on same network) - I use my real IP address? The IP address on the server is a 10.x.x.x... I tried both ways and nothing seems to work. I have added the RV server to the allowable programs to accept incoming...

Verify the data you enter on the server side and in Remote Viewer. If all is correct, you can only vary the port. By default, 8080 is used. It it is taken by another program, in the iOS part, type "10.10.1.123:8081" instead of "10.10.1.123" for IP address (if you decided to use port 8081). In the server part, set port this way:
