Dynamic File Data Fields

Hi
First time on this forum, trying to find an answer to a query about file data fields. I have created a label print project using file data fields for input from a csv file containing address details which change constantly. I thought that these fields were dynamic but each time I run this project it prints out the original imported data and not the new data. Is there something else I have to select to achieve this? Any help gratefully received.

Hi Frinton Fogey,

The program doesn't update the imported data automatically. To populate data fields with new information, you need to double-click on each, select the csv file again and set up the import options.

Hi Nick
Thanks for reply, I was hoping that once I had created the label project all I had to do was run it against the required file and it would produce the labels. If I have to reformat the label layout each time then PrintWorks won't do what I want.
Regards

Any progress on this item? Discovering dynamic fields were actually not dynamic is a big disappointment. Totally unviable for my project - 8 clicks to update a field, five fields on the template. .....

If not automatic, than a single "update all fields" command would be nice too (rather than a bunch of clicks for each separate field.)

I'll remind the developers about this feature.
