How to change password

Postby Daveypez » February 12th, 2015, 1:31 pm

I couldn't get into my account so asked for a new password. This I've used but I want to change it.

The password email says I can do this under 'via the profile page' but when I login to my User Control Panel and click on 'Profile' there's no mention of password changing there.

How do i change my login password?

(This BeLight software is SO user unfriendly!)

Hi Daveypez,

Please try to change your password again. This possibility is turned off by default.

The location of password settings is as in the picture:

As I said in my first post here, I went to the page you gave the screenshot of but there is no mention there of how/where to change your password. I notice your screenshot doesn't show the opportunity to change password either.

So where do I do it?

At the bottom of the screenshot, there are "New password" and "Confirm password" fields to create a new password.

Found it now thanks

That's so clever - hiding it away like that! And putting it out of site in your screenshot. I only found it by accident as I touched my trackpad when I went back to your first response.

Sorry to be sarcastic but you really don't seem to be able to make your software user-friendly. I've been a computer user for 35 yrs but these quirks still tripped me up.

As most companies, we use a forum engine created by a third party developer. So the forum usability has nothing to do with the quality of products our company is selling. Anyway, we accept any critics, and will try to improve what is possible.
