Sizing a Room

Postby pblack02 » March 13th, 2017, 11:18 pm

In some CAD programs, you can highlight a room dimension and then change the dimension, which then changes the wall dimension.

Can this type of a function be done in this software?

thank you

Supposing that a room you mean is only four walls attached together, you can resize this room using a Dimension. Attach the Dimension to corners of the room. Keep the Dimension selected. Then open the Object Properties tab of the Inspector, activate the "Affect underlying objects" option and finally change the size of the Dimension. Notice that three buttons near the Size field let you fix one of the Dimension sides.

This method may produce an unpredictable result when you resize a room inside a house where resizing a wall can affect several adjacent rooms.
