I just downloaded Art Text 2 from the App store. I am unable to access the Union, Join, Subtract or Intersect features on my system. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi dlongley,

You should select two or more layers to have these features available.

Nick,
I have tried with two and three layers. The first time I was actually going along with the demo video to create the Art Text Icon. On the demo video, I see on the Font screen Belight Software in the Collection section, I don't have this. Could this be the problem, or does this have nothing to do with it. (I do have the full version).
Thanks,
Darren

Hi dlongley
The BeLight Software collection contains additional fonts provided with Printfolio or some versions of Art Text. Nothing to do with your problem.
About Merging Layers tools (Union…):
- can you select these commands from the Layers menu or from the Preview bar (at the bottom of the main window)?
- or these commands are grayed and so can't be used
- if they're not grayed, what does it happen when selected?
Try this very simple example:
- from a new document, add a layer filled with a rectangle
- duplicate this layer then change the content of this layer to a disc
- change its Fill color (say light gray) just to make it more distinguishable
Image
- select and move this second layer
Image
- select the two layers
- select the Union tool
- you should get this result

Does it work?
