Labels go crazy after a few pages in merge

Postby jsaunby » April 6th, 2015, 7:56 am

Hi,

I'm importing and printing from a Numbers spreadsheet.

All the fields I want mapping seem to do so correctly.

When I merge print, the labels are correct for a few pages but then seem to take their data from random fields. I attach a screen shot

.

It always goes wrong at the same label but there is nothing different about that record. The formulas that calculate its values are copied from the top line, as with all the other records.

I have tried re-importing from numbers with the records already printed deleted but nothing changes. (I deleted the print list and made another one after deleting them and before printing).

I am using Labels and Addresses 1.6.9 (v486), Mac OS 10.10.2 and Numbers 3.5.2 (2118).

Hope you can help

When you click through the records in the left panel, do you see the same effect in the working area?

Actually, while you're helping me, can you tell me how to get the names into the column on the left hand side instead of No Name? I attach a screenshot of how the Numbers spreadsheet is laid out.

Thanks

Names are formed from First + Last pair so if you don't map anything to that fields, you'll end up with "No Name".

Regarding the spreadsheet, do you have those cells with empty lines after the data or they are just of increased height?

There are no empty cells, the increased height is because further across the row the data is longer and takes two lines in the cell, but this is the case higher and lower in the spreadsheet. Sorry for delay n replying, I've been away for a week but this is something we could do with sorting urgently

I've reloaded the spreadsheet with the name mapped to first name so that got rid of the No Name, thank you for that.

It now shows exactly what is being mapped into First Name at a certain point in the spreadsheet onwards. I have checked, and the extra text/characters do not appear in the spreadsheet.

Below is a screenshot of what Labels and Addresses thinks is in the Short Name field of the spreadsheet (which I mapped to First Name)

Please can you help me work around this problem?
