I have a Brother P-touch PT-2300 label printer. It's the kind that uses the continuous rolls of tape. Using Labels & Addresses, I can select the continuous label type from the list of built-in labels under Brother, but when I print, the Mac printing system returns an error.

Anyone have success in using Labels & Addresses to print to a P-touch printer?

Thank you!

Hi mprusse,

What exactly is in the error message?

Can you print on continuous labels using other programs?

What paper type did you select?

In the print queue it just says Error for the status after a few seconds of trying to print. I selected the Brother Continuous Length Tape (1/2in) (12mm). I was using the Brother P-touch software but it won't run any longer under Lion. Thus the reason for trying Labels & Addresses.

It looks like Brother doesn't update drivers for new operating systems (either Mac OS or Windows). The most recent supported Mac OS is 10.5. I'm afraid that the printer driver is incompatible with Lion. This is why Brother utility doesn't print too.
