Quickly Breaking Up Long Document Into Several Shorter

Postby peterthooper » March 22nd, 2016, 4:10 pm

I've a long document -- about 200 pages -- that I want to break up into shorter sections, the better to work on these separately, and facilitate editing and printing more quickly.

How might this be done without tedious page-by-page copying each Foreground, Background, Layer3, Layer4, Layer5, etc.?

IS this even an option? (If it's not, WHY NOT?)

But of course, I'm running SP3 (3.3.7 v604) on a MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard (10.6.8), so the Duplicate Page function is not there for me. Great. As it happens, it would be _extremely difficult_ for me to upgrade this to El Capitan (10.11), as there are a number of software applications that work for me now, that would not work after "upgrade."

The easiest way is to create a copy of your document, name it as "chapter 1". Then, delete all pages except for those which belong to Chapter 1. Make sure that you don't have linked text boxes that include text from different sections you wish to split.
