Hello Nick,

I helped my wife with some visuals for her class and created a custom page size in the Page Setup Dialog and chose Landscape orientation. The page display and text display is correct onscreen, but when printed it fails to rotate the text to accommodate the landscape orientation. I'm sure this is a bug since it works correctly in SP 2 beta.

Thanks for your assistance with this.

Best regards,

Ron Webber

Hi,
What settings you have set?
1. Page width and height (numbers below the Paper Size control in the Page Setup dialog). It is important what is initially greater height or width.
2. The Document Setup dialog: Orientation option.
3. Did you use the page rotation control from the File > Page menu or from the Pages Preview panel?

If possible, send us your document (support@belightsoft.com)

We have made some changes, that concern printing, in Swift Publisher since the Beta version. Probably your document was created in the Beta version.

Hello Nick,

After a few tries (based on your suggestion) I was able to produce a custom page size that printed correctly. Admittedly it is an unusual size (3 in by 24 in) - they are handwriting exercises for Kindergarten age children. In order for this to work correctly:

(1) choose Page Setup and Define a Custom Page Size by specifying 3 inch Width and 24 inch Length (width setting must be narrower than the length) - reversing this does not work correctly.

(2) Select that Custom Page Size and leave the orientation set to Portrait.

(3) use the Rotation icon on the bottom of the Pages Preview Pallete to rotate the entire document counter-clockwise 90 degrees.

(4) create the text fields to print sentence examples.

Thanks for the help, Nick.

Best regards,
