Hi fonetico,

It is probably that a BCC user has the same problem as you have in SP. We are waiting for details so far.

What is wrong with double-sided printing on your computer?

Hi all,

We have created a test version in which the PDF exporting bug may disappear. Since we cannot test it ourselves (the bug never repeated on our computers), I'm asking users who experienced this problem to help us with testing.

We need to compare the previous version with this:
http://belightsoft.com/tmp/Swift%20Publisher%203.zip
and make sure that the new one doesn't hang up in same circumstances. Please repeat these tests in both versions and tell about results.

1. Export a blank document to PDF with Image Quality in PDF options set to Original.
2. Export the first template (from File > New From Template Gallery) to PDF with Image Quality in PDF options set to Original, and then to Best (600 dpi).
3. Export your own document to PDF with Image Quality in PDF options set to Original.

For all tests, use your working account.

Oh dear, Nick!

Looks like our joy was premature.

The export to pdf seems only to work with single pages. With multiple pages it either crashes the app (it quits) or it only exports whatever page is being viewed.

Can I also add my name to the list of those who can't copy and paste images?

Regards,

fonetico

Please send your crash log and document to support@belightsoft.com

Hi all,

I've recently bought the software from the app store as was unhappy with the new pages update. I've used it to make a programme for our school's xmas concert, and have the exact same problem when trying to export as a .pdf.

I get a .pdf document on the desktop with blank pages.

I've also tried printing then saving as a .pdf - same problem!

I've updated to mavericks and have the art text software which I've used to make titles.

Hope you can help,

Steve

Hi Steve,

Several problems were discussed here. What exactly happens when you export. Does the program quits unexpectedly or stops responding? The second bug is fixed in a test version which can be downloaded using this link:
http://belightsoft.com/tmp/Swift%20Publisher%203.zip
This bug fix will appear in the next update.

If Swift Publisher unexpectedly quits (crashes), please send your document, console and crash logs to support@belightsoft.com indicating this forum topic.

To save the logs, you need to repeat the problem. The crash log opens us automatically. Click on the Report button and copy all text from the Crash Reporter window to your email.

To save the console log, open the Console application from the Applications/Utilities folder. Choose "All Messages" in the left panel. Then select File > Save a Copy As in the menu of Console to save the log.

No. Only App Store edition can access iCloud.

As soon as we release and submit a new version, App Store takes 2-4 weeks to revise it and make available for customers.

Hi all,

We have created a new test version. As the previous one, it fixes the problem with hanging when the program exports to PDF.

It can contain some new bugs because we significantly changed code responsible for Exporting PDFs.

Use this link to download it:
http://belightsoft.com/tmp/Swift%20Publisher%203.zip

Hi Nick,

Sorry to be the harbinger of bad tidings again, but the above link isn't working.

When I attempt to open the download it tells me the file is damaged and can't be opened. It tells me to move it to the trash.

I've tried it on several different computers on a number of occasions but no joy.

Regards,

Glyn
