How do I import word documents into a newsletter template? It is not clear to this new user. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Squirt13,

Our software cannot import from Word documents. You can copy text and graphics from Word to our program.

What about the PDFs advertisers send me? Can I import them?

Thanks.

You can import a PDF to Swift Publisher document as a solid graphic object. It won't be possible to modify text in it. Only tools that work with images will be available.

To import a PDF, drag it from Finder and drop into a Swift Publisher document.

How do I delete templates in the "My Templates" folder that I created but no longer wish to use?

Thank you.

Hi Kay,

When My Templates category is selected in the Template Gallery, there is a round button with an arrow next to the category name. Click on it to show custom templates in Finder. You can delete them as ordinary files.

You can import a PDF by dragging it from Finder and dropping onto a page. A PDF will be pasted as a picture. In case of a multipage PDF, its first page will be shown.

Another newbie -- new question. I have successfully created 4 pages pf a newsletter but when I returned to the work this morning I cannot edit the 4th page. The foreground is active and I can add a text box to the page, just cannot edit what I've already got there.
How did I do that? And how do I undo it?
Thanks!

Hi pomartin,

The text you cannot edit can be located on another layer. Also if you applied a master page to the current one, objects on it can be visible but not editable. To access the master page, select View > Master Pages in the main menu (don't forget to switch back to content pages).
