Hi Nick

After updating IT to this new version (3.8.1), I can't get the list of generators.
Using item menu, shortcut or just clicking on the Generators tab, all I can see is the UI of the first generator.
If I click where the list should be, I can select another generator even if I can't see the list.

On a test computer with 10.7, the list of generators is displayed correctly including French localization. Please give me these details:
1. Does anything change when you resize the main window while it is showing generators?
2. Can you see all controls in the toolbar?
3. Are there any Console messages linked with IT after opening the list of generators?
4. Did you open the program in the 64-bit mode? This can be verified using the Activity monitor.

Hi Nick

#1 Well, the problem seems related to the size of the main window (of IT), you're right.

When I launch IT, its main window fills the whole screen (minus the height of the menus bar at top). I know that I could change this behavior but this is the way I like to "work".
If I slightly resize the height of the window, the generators list reappears in realtime (no need to switch to another tab then switch back to the Generators).
But if I do the same horizontally, nothing happens until I select another tab then switch back to the Generators.

If I resize horizontally the window, making it smaller then resizing it to the screen full width, the background of the generators list (a table view?) appears in the sidebar:

The screen size of my MBP 17" is 1680 x 1050 pixels.

#2 All controls are displayed correctly.

#3 No message linked with IT in Console app (I've disabled all custom Image Units and Color Pickers).

#4 IT runs in 64-bit mode.

Hope this helps

Jean-Jacques,

You gave me a clue which helped to repeat the problem on my computer. With the Dock at the bottom of the screen scaled down to a very small size, IT behaved like on your computer. The difference was that I could see the list of filters or Quartz Compositions instead of generators (depending on what was open before). With the Dock on the left side, the bug didn't repeat although I made the IT window big enough. I couldn't reproduce the bug on 10.9.
