Hi all
I've uploaded a new version (1.0.6) of BC Image Unit (a set of free custom Core Image filters compatible with Image Tricks).
New:
10 new filters have been added!
Some existing filters have been renamed (to more standard names (à la Photoshop)).
Some labels have been simplified or completely renamed.
In some filters, new controls (checkboxes) have been added to make possible bypassing some parts of filter (e.g. Local Contrast from the BC Black And White filter).
Note that new blend modes from the Composite Openations category are not visible from the Other Filters category of Image Tricks. They are included in the Composite Operations of Image Tricks (after the Overlap category).
A few filters have been rewritten (e.g. BC Vignette).

Filters List (BC Image Unit 1.06):
33 filters are included in 1.0.6.
Color Adjustment:
BC Channel Mixer (was BC Color Matrix)
BC Color Balance (was BC RGB Channels Mixer)
BC Contrast (new in 1.0.6)
BC Levels (new in 1.0.6)
BC Remove Color Cast
BC RGB Levels (new in 1.0.6)

BC Duo Tone
BC Gaussian Gradient Ovelay
BC High And Low Controls
BC Invert RGB Channels
BC Linear Gradient Overlay
BC RGB Gamma Contrast
BC Technicolor
BC Tritone
Composite Operations
BC Darker Color Blend Mode (new in 1.0.6)
BC Divide Blend Mode (new in 1.0.6)
BC Lighter Color Blend Mode (new in 1.0.6)
BC Linear Burn Blend Mode (new in 1.0.6)
BC Linear Dodge Blend Mode (new in 1.0.6)
Sharpen
BC High Pass Sharpening (new in 1.0.6)
Stylize
BC Dabs Painting
BC Engraving
BC Film Process (was BC Film Process Lite)
BC High Pass (new in 1.0.6)
BC Mosaic
BC Noisyfier
BC Orton Effect
BC Round Pixellate
BC Sketch
BC Spot
BC Vignette

Remarks:
If you already have installed older versions of BC filters (BC_CustomColorize.plugin, BC_BlackAndWhite.plugin, BC_RGB_Channels_Mixer.plugin, BC_Technicolor.plugin), please delete them. New versions of these filters are available in this new BC Image Unit plugin.

Hi Nick
As you can see I've added a few new Blend Modes (CICategoryCompositeOperations).
They are visible in the Composite Operations of Image Tricks.
I think that it could be nice to add a way (a slider) to adjust opacity of the top layer (the blend layer). Most of the time, lowering blend layer opacity is a really simple and effective way to create great composite images (see the BC Layers Quartz composition).

Hi Nick
I've updated all custom blend modes (BC Linear Dodge…) adding an Opacity slider:

This works the same than the Opacity slider for layers in Acorn/Pixelmator/Photoshop…

This slider is not visible in IT (but these blend modes work, yet).
These new blend modes with Opacity slider will be added to the next update (1.0.7).

Thanks Jean-Jacques.

I guess that in IT the default opacity 100% is used when the slider isn't visible.

Absolutely Nick

Note that I should change the label for the image well.

Hi there,

Please can a little further detail be given on how it's possible to utilise these inside of Image Tricks. I'm actually using the Image Tricks features on graphics within Swift Publisher 3.

I've installed the plugin file as indicated in the installation PDF.
Running Mac 10.7.5.

Thanks

Hi lstocky
First of all, when using the IT plug-in (vs the standalone application) from one BeLight application (SP, DC, L&A, BCC), third party filters are not available.
The only way to use these filters is to launch the Image Trick standalone application then open your image(s) or to drag an image on the IT icon.
From IT application, you would see all the filters names in a special category named "3RD PARTY".
Exemple of this situation (filters are those included in BC Image Unit 1.0.7):

Btw., have you some problems with specific filters?
Hope this helps.
(Edit: the screenshot comes from v1.0.8, a new version not released for now)
