Hi Nick
There're some new filters available from Image Tricks when running Lion:
Some of them are basic CIFilters (and so, can be used by developers to create more complex custom effects):
Vibrance (Adjusts the saturation of an image while keeping pleasing skin tones.)
Temperature and Tint (Adapts the reference white point for an image.)
Tone Curve (Adjusts tone response of the R, G, and B channels of an image.)
Straighten (Rotates the source image by the specified angle in radians.)
HighLight and Shadow Adjust (Adjust the tonal mapping of an image while preserving spatial detail.)
And some other ones are made of different CIFilters arranged in a custom way to produce more complex effects:
Page Curl With Shadow (from BeLight?)
Droste (a specific kind of recursive picture (
Depth of Field (aka Tilt Shift)
In Image Tricks, all these new filters are located in the "OTHER FILTERS" category but (imho) should be located in their own category (e.g. Vibrance is a member of CICategoryColorAdjustment and Straighten is a member of CICategoryGeometryAdjustment).
Also, adding a prefix to BeLight filters (e.g. Net Distortion or Bi-Color) should be an easy way to distinguish filters that come from Apple and filters that come from third party developers (e.g. from BeLight, Noise Industries or myself (I use BC as prefix)).

Hi Jean-Jacques,

Thanks. I'll pass your suggestion to the developers.
