I have a Mac and while exporting my biz card to a PDF file, i open it and it doesn't preview correctly. My card has text with a slight shadow on it. The PDF file shows a really dramatic shadow (too much). How come it doesn't export correctly? Also, when I save my biz card, it doesn't SAVE with the shadow on text at all

Hi ktcardio,
Have you tried to open your pdf in Preview.app (vs Acrobat Reader 7/8)?
If your file looks right in Preview.app but not in Reader, try this:
- export from BCC using eps as format
- then open this new eps file in Preview
- then save it to pdf
- open this pdf file in Acrobat Reader and compare the result with Preview.app
Note that exporting to pdf from BCC (and other BeLight apps) produces a v1.4 pdf file but exporting to eps then using Preview.app to produce the pdf make a v1.3 pdf file.
If you want/need to make a pdf from a whole sheet of cards, use File>Print>PDF>Save as PDF-X, you'll get a v1.3 pdf file.
Hope this helps.
(No idea about your problem when saving)

Hi ktcardio,
Note that there are two shadows can be applied: the system shadow (controlled by the Font panel) and the one provided by Swift Publisher. Now it seems to be impossible to apply both shadows together. When you save the document, the system shadow gets switched off.
The system shadow, when it is printed or exported, sometimes differs from what you see in your document (especially in raster images).
