This is probably best described as a 'request' rather than bug.

I want to put some text on the spine of a DVD case - this would apply equally to CD cases too. I would like this text to be centred in the spine, both from top to bottom and from front to back. The way this is normally done is to make the text 'frame' as big as the the spine and then set the text to center aligned both vertically - (left to right when editing the text) and horizontally (top to bottom when editing the text).

There is an option to centre the text in the horizontal but not in the vertical, so this must be done by trying to center the frame 'by eye', which is not very satisfactory.

Being able to properly center text on the spine can be achieved by two ways - either allow the text within the frame to be center, top to bottom vertically aligned or provide 'guide lines' that are central within any part of one of the design elements which the center of any object can then be aligned to.

Hi,
Thanks for the suggestion. I've added it into our list to consider.
