Odessa Picture Gallery
Odessa
(founded in 1794)
Odessa is situated in the south of Ukraine, on the Black
Sea shore. It's mostly known as the Black Sea Pearl. This is one of the
Ukrainian largest cities and a famous tourist destination of the Eastern
Europe. Beautiful beaches, shady streets, original architecture and hospitable
people attract tourists from all over the world. Representatives of Italian,
French, Greek and Jewish cultures influenced the city appearance and Odessians
language and personality.
What makes Odessa different
from other European places? April Fools' Day (April, 1st)! 1 million visitors,
as many as those living here, come to see the Humorous Parade that day.
If you happen to be in Odessa on the 1st of April, be careful in choosing
whom to trust, as somebody may play a trick on you :-)
